A Few of Our Favorite Things
En Masse designers are passionate about Logan Square. Not only does a majority of our staff reside in the bustling Northwest Chicago neighborhood but they spend much of their free time frequenting local coffee shops, delicious eateries, and fun nighttime spots- many historic but all lively. The En Masse team will be granting you all a tour of our faithful favorites- so read along and have the En Masse experience while touring the thriving, multi-cultural area of Logan Square.
Lunchtime Favorites
Lonesome Rose for the burritos
La Puebla Restaurant- for the fire Mexican food
90 Miles- for BYOB Cuban brunch
Taqueria Moran- for $1.50 Carnitas tacos on Tuesdays
90 Miles is the best place for BYOB brunch!
Morgan Peterson, Project Manager
Catch En Masse designers chowing down on cheap eats weekly. Taqueria Moran is our favorite spot to get a quick lunch on a busy Tuesday. Extra salsa verde, please!
Coffee
Gaslight Coffee- for the cortado and a great place to get some work done
Chiqueolatte Coffee- for a latte and a sweet treat
Cafe con Leche- for the classic Logan Square cafe experience
Gaslight Coffee has the best vibes and our favorite cortado (outside of our own at the studio!)
Brett Rosengren, Project Manager
At En Masse we’re passionate about coffee. Check out our recent journal post where we tell you all about our favorite drink and the inspiration behind our ground level coffee-bar in Mike’s unique workplace/home concept.
Dinner
Union Restaurant- for the hanger steak and the En Masse Experience (we had our 2022 Holiday Party at Union!)
Testaccio Italian- for the Bucatini Alla Carbonara
Lula Cafe- for the Vermouth Steamed Mussels
Always a stunning meal and its such an anchor point to Logan Square both in terms of its location and its long history of excellence. When I want to share Logan Square with a friend I think of Lula.

Art and Design
Dial M for Modern- for vintage furniture, art, and accessories
Comfort Station- for engaging experimental artwork in the heart of Logan Square.
Dial M for Modern has been my go-to for vintage furniture, art, and accessories. The owner has such a knack for bringing the most interesting pieces in. They are unfortunately moving soon to Grand Ave and I don’t know how I’ll recover from not being within walking distance.
-Lucas Goldbach, Design Director
Night Out
Golden Teardrops Basement Bar- for a nightcap and a “fern bar” vibe
Billy Sunday- for world class cocktails
Logan Theater- for a movie and a cultural experience all in one
The Whistler- for a place to dance up a sweat then relax on a patio
Scofflaw- for lovers of gin
Billy Sunday has the best old fashioned in town and the best place to enjoy it- such a relaxing comfortable place to enjoy it. Make sure to ask about the secret book of rare selections.

Summertime Bliss
Logan Square Farmers Market- for a Sunday stroll
Logan Square Monument - for picture perfect picnics
Miko’s Italian Ice- for an iconic sweet treat
Parson’s Chicken and Fish- for the best patio in town
Pretty Cool Ice Cream- for the best novelty ice cream bars (a year-round treat if we’re being honest)
I know that Spring has sprung in Logan Square when I see everyone gathering around the monument. This is my favorite place to see friends and enjoy a bustling urban center.
